Revised Drafts of CDBG Plans

The Department of Planning and Development is preparing the 2018-2020 Consolidated Plan and 2018 Annual Action Plan for the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Designated as a CDBG entitlement community by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the City annually qualifies for grant funding from HUD for housing and community development projects. In order to receive funding, the City is required to submit a Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan that outline community needs and how grant funds will be prioritized.  A revised draft of the 2018-2020 Consolidated Plan and 2018 Annual Action Plan will be available for public comment beginning on April 16, 2018. The 30-day public comment period will close after May 16, 2018. A public hearing will be held on April 16, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM in the Mayor’s Conference Room at City Hall where the draft Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan will be available for public review and comment. The content presented at the public hearing will be available, upon request, at any time during the public comment period. Copies of the draft Plans will also be available in the Clerk’s office and Planning and Development office/website. Community input is an essential part of the CDBG planning process. Dunkirk residents are encouraged to share their comments on the plans. Any questions or comments should be directed to Matt Bourke, Community Development Planner by email at mbourke@cityofdunkirk.com or phone at 716-366-9878.
