Press Release

Dunkirk City Hall will be closed on Thursday, July 4th, 2019 for the 4th of July Holiday.

The City Independence Day fireworks are still on for 2019 and will begin after a test shot at about dusk

As always, the pier is closed during this event (and it is closed for reconstruction as well) but the usual viewing areas surrounding the natural amphitheater of beautiful Dunkirk Harbor will all be ready.

The City welcomes all residents and visitors to enjoy the fireworks display as organized by Dunkirk Special Events under Mayor Rosas and Events Coordinator Hector Rosas, with assistance from City DPW and City Development.
