Recycling Program

In an attempt to improve efficiency in our recycling program, the city is strongly considering revising recycling operations to reflect an every other week operation instead of the current weekly curbside pickup.  While I understand this could lead to inconveniences for some, the benefits of less wear and tear on our trucks, decreased diesel usage, and potentially six more workers to handle other pressing day to day needs (i.e. leaf pick-up and snow removal)—make this proposal worth attempting.  The city will continue to have the recycling center open Monday thru Saturday.

Comments or suggestions will be taken into consideration until the end of business on December 11th. I may be reached through our website or by contacting my office directly.

Sincerely,

Mayor Dolce
