Recycling Pickup

Due to equipment breakdowns, the city of Dunkirk did not complete scheduled recycling pickup today.

Anybody who still has items out for pickup is asked to bring them back in and hold them for the next recycle pickup, scheduled for Jan. 13. Residents may bring recycling to the Lucas Avenue recycling center, which will be open this week, including Saturday, except for New Year’s Day.

Recycling pickup was cut short due to equipment breakdowns, darkness and the county’s transfer station closing at 4:30 p.m.
