NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The City of Dunkirk Department of Public Works will accept bids for the following:

WASHINGTON PARK SIDEWALK AND PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENTS 

This project consists of the replacement of an approximate 3,500 to 12,000 square feet of concrete sidewalk and an asphaltic concrete overlay of approximately 1,500 square yards at the City's Washington Park.

Bidding documents are available at the Office of the Director of Public Works, 342 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, New York 14048 at a non-refundable cost of $20.00 per set.  A $5.00 non-refundable check is required for sets requiring mailing.

Bidders must comply with all applicable Federal, State and local requirements for this project.  Both New York State and Federal Davis-Bacon Wage Rates will be utilized for this project.

The City of Dunkirk reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive any inconsistencies in or to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the City, without notification to the Bidder or reason for rejection.

EACH BID MUST BE PLAINLY MARKED AS "PROPOSAL FOR WASHINGTON PARK SIDEWALK AND PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENTS".

 Bids will be accepted at the Dunkirk City Clerk's Office located at Dunkirk City Hall, 342 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, New York  14048, no later than 10:00 A.M. E.S.T. on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

 Each bidder must deposit with his bid, a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid.
