Mayor Wilfred Rosas offers his condolences to the family of Mayor Richard Frey

“Mayor Frey served the City of Dunkirk for three terms, and he always had a smile and a handshake for everyone he met.” Mayor Rosas said.

“Being Mayor of a City such as Dunkirk is not an easy task, and to be elected for three terms says a lot about the individual.  While not everyone may agree, service to one’s country, state or city requires courage and dedication, and that is what Richard Frey exhibited every day that he was in office.  He will be missed by friends and family alike.  My prayers go out to his wife, Pat and their children and grandchildren during this difficult time.” Mayor Rosas told the Observer.

The Mayor has ordered the flags over City Hall to be lowered to half mast in honor of Mayor Frey.
