Dunkirk PBA makes Water for Flint Donation

The Dunkirk Police Benevolent Association dropped off two SUV’s worth of bottled water to be donated to Flint, Michigan, more specifically, 50 cases of water – or 1,750 bottles of water.

Donations have flowed in from the Fredonia Teacher’s Association, Fredonia Place, Fredonia Police Benevolent Association, as well as personal donations all over the county in the forms of water and money. According to Doug Stock, President of the Dunkirk Labor Council, the Area Labor Council has collected over $2,000 in cash donations, and a still-growing stockpile of 400 gallons of water

Although the open donation drop off times have finished, the water is being driven to Flint on Friday, so more donations can be brought there one last time in the morning.

Checks can also be made out to WNY Area Labor Federation with “Labor For Flint” in the memo line and dropped off at United Way of Northern Chautauqua County, 626 Central Ave., Dunkirk, or brought to the drop off on Friday morning.
