The Department of Planning and Development helps to maintain and enhance the City’s quality of life. The Department is responsible for citywide planning, coordination of economic development activities, and management of the City’s Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG).

- Small Business Saturday Event:The City of Dunkirk’s Planning & Development Department is seeking local businesses who are interested in participating in a Small Business Saturday Event that will be held November 26th, 2016. Small Business Saturday is an American shopping holiday held the Saturday after Thanksgiving that encourages shoppers to patronize local brick and mortar companies. Businesses often have “Black Friday-like” sales to draw shoppers into their stores. Customers can finish up their shopping list while getting great deals and supporting our local economy.
Registered businesses will be included in free advertising developed by the City – including flyers, signs, and maps that will be posted in the newspaper, online, and distributed during the event. Those that wish to be included in the advertisements need to contact Christina Lincoln, Community Development Planner, at 366-9878 or firstname.lastname@example.org to register by November 18th.
