The Dunkirk Local Development Corporation purchased 208-214 Washington Avenue in 2009. Environmental remediation is currently taking place. Future plans for redevelopment are in final planning stages. The EF Burke Company is the preferred developer.
The Dunkirk Local Development Corporation purchased the former car dealership in 2010. Since then, the building has been demolished, and the property environmentally remediated for future development. KROG Corporation is the preferred developer for the site.
