Christmas Tree Pick-up

This Friday, January 30 will be the last day the City of Dunkirk Street Dept. will pick up Christmas trees curbside.

Garbage Pick-up

Dunkirk City Hall will be closed on Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25 for Christmas.

Rubbish in the Wednesday collection zone will be picked up as usual on Wednesday. Rubbish in the Thursday collection will be picked up on Friday. Rubbish in the Friday collection zone will be picked up on Saturday.

The Recycling Center on Lucas Avenue will be closed on Saturday, December 27.

Adult Basketball and Hockey Meeting

There will be an adult Basketball and Hockey meeting Wednesday, November 19.  The Hockey meeting will be at 6:00 p.m. and the Basketball meeting will be at 7:00 p.m.

Water Hydrant Flushing

City crews will be on Lake Shore Drive east from Beaver Street east to City line and Roberts Road from Talcott Street to Route 20.

Road Closing

The New York State Department of Transportation announced today that beginning on Monday, November 10, NY Route 5 (Lake Shore Drive) in the City of Dunkirk will be closed to all traffic between Nichols Avenue and Point Drive North to allow for work at the railroad crossing. Motorists will be directed to follow a posted detour.

This project is expected to last for three days, but could be delayed in the event of inclement weather.
